President Donald Trump is “very angry” and has lashed out at Iran and Israel officials amid accusations of ceasefire violations. Earlier today (June 24), Trump announced a truce between the two had come into effect, despite a recent strike by Iran on an apartment building in Israel. However, Trump now believes both sides violated the agreement.
On June 13, the war started after Israel bombed Iran in an attempt to stop it from developing nuclear weapons, and Tehran retaliated.
Hours after the ceasefire came into effect, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz accused Iran of breaching it. “In light of Iran’s complete violation of the ceasefire declared by the US President and the launch of missiles towards Israel,” said Katz, per NBC, also confirming he instructed the IDF to “continue the intense activity of attacking Tehran to thwart regime targets and terrorist infrastructures in Tehran.”

Trump spoke to the press this morning and also shared his thoughts on social media about the conflict, saying he is going to “see if I can stop it.”
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing… I think they both violated it,” the 47th U.S. President said. “I’m not sure they did it intentionally. They couldn’t rein people back. I don’t like the fact that Israel went out this morning at all, and I’m going to see if I can stop it.”
“These guys got to calm down. Ridiculous,” he added. “I’m not happy with Iran either, but I’m really unhappy if Israel’s going out this morning.”
Prior to that, Trump shared a post Truth Social urging Israel to refrain from striking Iran. “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!” he wrote.
“ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran,” another post by Trump read.
A White House official told NBC Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the phone once aboard Air Force One today and urged him turn around Israeli planes set to target Iran.
