Drake is always willing to pull out his acting chops when necessary. The 38-year-old rapper played the role of a fragrance scientist in an ad for his new Summer Mink Eau De Parfum.
The visual shows the 6 God walking around his home, trailed by a dog, while he seemingly struggles to land on the perfect scent for the product; the challenge is evident due to all of the papers scattered on the floor. The work consumes him so much that he does all of this wearing pajamas instead of a lab coat or something more fitting for that activity. Eventually, he finds the formula he was looking for and lets out an emphatic “F**k, f**k, that’s good.” He sniffs the parfum and adds, “That’s it, that’s it.”
Now, fans can see for themselves whether he got it right or not, as the Summer Mink fragrance is available on Better World Fragrance House’s website for $148. On May 12, the product will be sold in 1,400 different Ulta Beauty locations across North America. Watch the ad below.
“Summer Mink was inspired by a yin-yang principle of fusing warm, creamy base notes with cold spices and sparkling citruses,” Michael Carby, senior perfumer at Givaudan, said in the press release for the fragrance. “The ingredient composition was uniquely crafted to reflect a multinational culture with aspirations toward a Better World.” This comes over a year after Drake debuted the Carby Musk fragrance oil, inspired by his Carby Musk candles in 2020.
Beyond curating aromas, Drizzy has been busy setting the vibe of 2025 since this past February. “Nokia” emerged as the hit from $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, his joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month. The project itself also remains within the top five on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
He also added to the momentum by sharing the greyscale music video, which included multiple elements that seemed targeted at Kendrick Lamar or his other enemies. Check out the “Nokia” visual below.
