Drake’s OVO Posse Watches Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl Show In Australia

Kendrick Lamar had more eyes on him than ever before this past weekend due to his Super Bowl LIX halftime show performance. Some of those eyes included Drake‘s OVO crew members, who are currently with him in Australia for his Anita Max Win Tour.

A fan snuck footage of the posse, seemingly sitting at a restaurant or in a hotel lobby in the daytime, watching the show. Members such as Preme and Chubbs were visible, while others had their backs to the camera, signifying that they did not know they were being recorded. The performance took place around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 9) in the central standard time zone, meaning that it was around 12:30 p.m. in Melbourne.

The 6 God was nowhere to be found in the footage, but that does not mean he was not present. He has not commented on the show either, but in his concert that day he did change the lyrics of his 2021 record “Knife Talk” to say “I survived, beef is live/ Spoiler alert: I never died” instead of the original “I survived, beef is live/ Spoiler alert: this ni**a dies.”

Kendrick Lamar made it clear he would not avoid anything related to Drake during his Super Bowl LIX halftime show. The Compton rapper performed his diss track “Euphoria” and teased performing “Not Like Us” before telling his backup dancers that “they love to sue,” a reference to Drake’s defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group. He eventually did perform the smash hit diss song, smirked during the “Say Drake” line,” and invited Serena Williams, Drizzy’s ex, on stage to crip walk.

At the end of the performance, lights in the audience read “Game Over,” which could signify that K. Dot is done jabbing at his foe. This would close off a nine-month victory lap which included The Pop Out concert, the “Not Like Us” music video, his latest album GNX going No. 1, five Grammy victories for “Not Like Us,” and now, the ability to claim that he was the first rapper to headline the Super Bowl on his own.

As for the Toronto superstar, he is gearing up to release his first project since the beef, though its genre seems to make it clear that he doesn’t want to revisit the back-and-forth for now. Last week, the part-time crooner officially announced his collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. The duo has teased two tracks so far, plus a skit featuring Trevaunn and Jermaine Richards from Random Order. Watch below.
