Veteran Yoruba actor, Oluwole Akeem Cole, popularly known as Alhaji Baraka, has come out strongly against a viral report accusing his colleague, Faithia Williams (formerly Balogun), of physically assaulting him.
According to the blog post making rounds online, the actress allegedly “tied down” the actor and beat him mercilessly, claims that Baraka has now debunked in both anger and disbelief.
Taking to social media to address the rumour, the enraged actor questioned the sanity of the bloggers behind the bizarre tale. Speaking in Yoruba, he said:
“How would they take a good look at someone like me and say that I, Baraka, was tied down and beaten to a pulp by Faithia Balogun? Many of you bloggers are always ready to pit people against each other, maybe due to lack of solid stories. If that’s the case, find something else to do.”

Baraka didn’t stop there. He laid heavy curses on the rumour peddlers, saying they would be the ones tied down and beaten for their reckless reporting. He emphasized how dangerous false stories like this can be, not only to reputations but to relationships within the film industry. He added:
“Some bloggers don’t think before they talk. Imagine saying someone tied me down and flogged me? It’s y’all that God will tie down and get the beating of your life. Unfortunate bloggers.”
Neither Faithia Williams nor her team has publicly responded to the incident, but fans are already flooding the comment sections, expressing their shock over the fake news and commending Baraka for speaking up.

Still on actors in the Yoruba subset of Nollywood, veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has opened up about a terrifying health ordeal that left him bedridden for years, a period that also gave rise to damaging rumours about his wellbeing.
The actor in the recent interview shared that he vomited blood for about 7months when he ate anything asides pap. Ogogo said while he was bedridden during the period, he battled the illness for about 7years in totality.
