Being a celebrity puts you under scrutiny, as it involves fame and recognition due to media attention.

While it has its perks like wealth, success, brand endorsements and access to exclusive events, one major downside is the loss of privacy.

Some celebrities try their best to keep some part of their life private and while it works for some, others are not so lucky, leading to being under a microscope by netizens.

Here, we take a look at female celebrities who have kept the paternity of their child under wraps.

Dayo Amusa

First on this list is Dayo Amusa, a popular Yoruba actress who welcomed her first child, a son, at age 41 in the United States on 18th November 2024.

The actress on the eve of 2025 made her indelible mark on the year 2024 before it came to an end.

On December 31, 2024, she shared how she suffered three miscarriages, failed IVFs, health complications, was recommended to have her womb removed by doctors, cheated on by her lovers and so much more before her son, Oluwafirewamiri was born.

Dayo Amusa’s son, Oluwafirewamiri

Dayo Amusa since the birth of her son has become vocal about her journey, but she is yet to share who Oluwafirewamiri’s father is.

Shortly after her child’s naming ceremony, it was rumoured iconic Fuji singer King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall aka KWAM 1 is Dayo Amusa’s baby daddy.

Promptly shutting down the narrative, the actress urged fans to focus on her work as an actress rather than her personal life, including her roles as a mother, wife, or partner.

Dayo firmly stated that her personal life is hers alone to control and asserted her right to reveal or withhold her child’s father’s identity as she sees fit.

Chika Ike

Another actress that falls into this category is Chika Ike who welcomed her first child, a baby girl, in March 2025.

Announcing her pregnancy, the movie star on February 10 posted pictures of herself in a black sheer dress that gave a clear view of her belly bump.

The announcement was followed by congratulatory messages but shortly afterwards, there were rumors that Chika Ike’s baby was fathered by senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, who doubles as actress Regina Daniels husband.

As the rumors spread, Regina Daniels deactivated her instagram account, only to return weeks after. On their part, Chika Ike and Ned Nwoko explicitly debunked the rumours.

The new mum stated that she is not ready to be any man’s seventh wife because polygamy is not for her.

Chika Ike added that if she successfully hid her pregnancy till she was ready to announce it to the world, no one can find out who her baby daddy is.

Nengi Hampson

Coming in hot in third place is reality TV star Nengi Rebecca Hampson, who welcomed a baby girl on February 21.

The 27-year-old former Big Brother Naija season 5 reality TV show star made the announcement by sharing a video from the hospital where she cradled her newborn to her chest, taking in that first moment of motherhood.

Nengi also included stunning pregnancy photos, including one where she posed by the pool in a blue bikini.

Nengi

Prior to Nengi birthing her daughter, she was rumoured to be pregnant for Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri.

The Governor, through his media aide denied responsibility for the reality TV star’s pregnancy, dismissing the rumours as baseless.

Nengi also swiftly refuted the claims, stating that she is ‘not pregnant for any governor”. She however hasn’t revealed her child’s paternity.

Ini Edo

Nollywood actress, Iniobong Edo, at the beginning, hide the paternity of her first child, a daughter, who she had via a surrogate.

Although she suffered series of miscarriages before, the award-winning actress and entrepreneur said she opted for a surrogate for her peace of mind and that of her baby. As well as to avoid any form of baby daddy controversy.

Ini Edo’s daughter, Light

Her hopes were however shattered when a married man identified as Kome, was alleged to have fathered her now four-year-old daughter, Light.

Ini was quick to clarify, that her relationship with Kome is solely friendship and that he is a responsible family man. She also revealed that she had her daughter through a donor and her own egg.

Eniola Ajao

Yoruba Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao raised eyebrows in 2022 when she disclosed the existence of her 20-year-old son. The 44-year-old revealed she had her son at age 20 and hid the fact because she didn’t want to be stigmatized.
