- in World Entertainment

Like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie did in her seminal TED talk, The Danger of a Single Story, Ghanaian Afrobeat star Fuse ODG has now called out the western media for their negative portrayal of Africa.

The artiste who grew up in both the UK and Ghana, spoke about this in a recent chat with BBC, in which he encouraged Africans to reject the tired narratives portraying them as ”inferior’,” adding that these outlets have a penchant for presenting Africa as ”poverty stricken”, with ”kids with flies around their mouths.”

He further said that change would come if schools syllabus that teaches children the positive side of their history are introduced.
