Every athlete has to ask themself a tough question after retiring from their sport: how can they use their influence to be impactful elsewhere? Well, Floyd Mayweather Jr. chose to go into real estate and he is currently thriving as he recently showed off some of the apartment buildings that he purchased in New York.
“I love bringing people into my lifestyle, showing the people how I live,” he said in an Instagram video. “Now I know you guys see me on the regular talking about real estate. Well, lately, I purchased 62 apartment buildings in New York City. And what I need you guys to do? Slide over [through the Instagram collage], check out the photos.” The legendary boxer clarified that he didn’t have photos of all 62 buildings in the collage, but there were enough to get a sense of their locations.
“Guess what? All the buildings belong to me, I don’t have no partners,” Mayweather Jr. continued, boasting about his new real estate investment company Vada Properties. “And all the retail down low on my buildings all belong to me. Guess what? You can do the same. It’s about making power moves.” Check out the collage below.

Money Mayweather’s buildings, per those shown in the photo, appear to be in the uptown Manhattan and Harlem area.
At the end of his collage, the 48-year-old celebrity showed off an award highlighting his purchase of the Morningside Portfolio for $402 million. Per his portfolio, Mayweather Jr. also owns properties in Jersey City, Chicago, and Miami. Needless to say, he is living up to the Money Mayweather moniker in and out of the boxing ring.
