Garcelle Beauvais is bidding farewell to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills family after five drama-filled seasons. The actress and TV personality shared the news with an emotional video on her Instagram account.
“I have some news: I have decided to leave Beverly Hills,” Beauvais revealed. “It’s been a wild ride, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened — but it’s been a ride nevertheless.”
Opening up about the decision, Beauvais made it clear that her family and her career both played major roles in her exit. “One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys,” she further explained. “Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that. And Jade is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that, too. And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now, but you’ll know soon.”

Before signing off, she took a moment to express gratitude to everyone who’d made her RHOBH experience memorable. The 58-year-old thanked boss, executive producer Andy Cohen, networks Bravo and NBC Universal, her production team, and her fellow Housewives.
“To the fans, I want to say thank you so much. You guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf,” she continued. “It means a lot, and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me.”
But she didn’t make her exit final, leaving the door open for a possible return by teasing “Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime.”
The Saint-Marc-native then ended with a heartfelt farewell, adding, “It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. So see you later. … Cheers to the next chapter.” The timing of her announcement arrives just hours before RHOBH‘s Season 14 finale tonight (March 25).
When she joined the franchise in April 2020, the former teen model made history as the first Black woman cast in the 15 year history of the Beverly Hills installment. The Bravo tenure helped catapult her into other opportunities including a two-year stint as a co-host on The Real and a first-look development deal with NBC Universal. She also got back into her acting bag with a role in Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest and two Lifetime TV films: Caught in His Web and Black Girl Missing.
And though fans will miss seeing Garcelle Beauvais on their screens next season, they can still watch her tonight for the RHOBH Season 14 finale airing at 8 P.M. ET.
