The fast-rising Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter, Ugochi Lydia Onuoha was born on November 5th, 1997 in Kaduna State.

Although she was born in Kaduna State, a state in the Northern part of Nigeria, Ugochi was raised partly in Abuja and Lagos.

What’s more, she is originally a native of Imo State, a state in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria. An Igbo by tribe, a Southerner by region, a Christian, and a Nigerian by religion and nationality respectively.

For her education, Guchi had her elementary and secondary school education in Abuja and Lagos in no particular order. At the prestigious Edo State State University, Ekpoma, Ugochi Onuoha didn’t finish her four-year degree program there. However, she proceeded to the University of Lagos, wherein she studied and bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Media Arts.

Early Career

Developed an interest in singing at the young age of seven when she joined the choir as a chorister at the local church she attended at the time, Ugochi Onuoha is now signed to PG Records Entertainment.

Releasing her first song which later became a hit jam titled Addicted about a year ago, Ugochi gained the attention of her current record label after her single earned over 900,000 views on her self-titled Youtube channel.

With the way she is growing, it is only fair to say that Onuoha is the best new thing that is happening to Nigerian entertainment, and particularly the music industry.
