Hollywood’s Finest Stunned At TheBlack Cinema Television Celebration

The 7th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television lit up the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Monday (Dec. 9), with the Critics Choice Association honoring a stellar lineup of talent.

Actor and comedian Jay Pharoah, best known for his Saturday Night Live impressions and his latest comedy special Jared, hosted the glamorous event, which honored exceptional contributions and performances in Black entertainment.

Regina King was recognized with the prestigious Trailblazer Award, while Tyler Perry took home the Icon Award. Cynthia Erivo also received the Film Actress Award for her standout performance in Universal Pictures’ Wicked. Additionally, John David Washington snagged the Film Actor Award for his role in Netflix’s The Piano Lesson, and Jharrel Jerome was celebrated with the Breakthrough Actor Award. Meanwhile, Michael Rainey Jr. earned the Series Rising Star Award for his work in STARZ’s Power Book II: Ghost.

The star-studded evening saw show-stopping fashion choices as Hollywood’s finest hit the seafoam carpet in jaw-dropping ensembles.
