Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has taken a subtle swipe at Afrobeats singer Burna Boy after he lost out at the 67th Grammy Awards.

In a cryptic post, Cubana Chief Priest implied that Tems won in the Best African Music Performance category because American rapper P. Diddy was in police custody.

On his IG stories, he wrote: “If to say Diddy dey outside, dem for use Johnson baby oil rub away her Grammy.”

The celebrity barman shared a video of his friend Davido performing and praised him, with fans noting that Davido is doing well despite not having won a Grammy Award yet.

However, fans of Burna Boy were quick to defend him, pointing out that he has already won a Grammy Award in 2021 for his album Twice As Tall. They also criticized Cubana Chiefpriest for shading Burna Boy, stating that his win was a result of hard work and dedication.

The feud between Cubana Chiefpriest and Burna Boy is not new, with the two having exchanged subtle jabs in the past. Cubana Chiefpriest’s latest comment has sparked a reaction from Burna Boy’s fans, who are accusing him of being jealous and bitter about Burna Boy’s achievements.
