Inside Tyler Perry’s ‘Divorced Sistas’ Houston Premiere Party

Tyler Perry‘s Divorced Sistas made its way to Houston to celebrate its premiere season.

Hosted at the city’s Bungalow Downtown Dining, the VIP guest list included Devale Ellis, Muneera Paige, Karen Johnson, DJ Supastar, Xandi, Sunni The Rapper, and more. Stars of the drama LeToya Luckett, Briana Price, Porscha Coleman, Khadeen Ellis, and Jennifer Sears were also in attendance for closure and cocktails.

Created, written, and directed by Perry, who also serves as an executive producer, Divorced Sistas follows five close friends as they navigate life, which includes love, breakups, divorce, dating, and every aspect of modern courtship. According to an official description, while they lean on each other through heartbreak and healing, their biggest test comes from within their own circle, challenging their loyalty.

Alongside the aforementioned leading ladies, the series also stars RonReaco Lee, DeVon Franklin, Donovan Christie Jr., and Robert Christopher Riley.

As noted by BET+, the Divorced Sistas season premiere marked the most-watched premiere of any BET+ series since the service launched in September 2019.

Additionally, since its premiere, the series has driven 415,000 new subscription starts, 178% more than any season one original series across third-party platforms* and BET+, ranking as the third most successful series launch in platform history.

Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas is now streaming on BET+. New episodes from the eight-episode season will drop every Thursday, with the first half of Season 1 concluding on Thursday, July 24th.
