K. Michelle has made it clear that her feud with fellow singer, Tamar Braxton, is far from over.
While recently appearing on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, the “Can’t Raise A Man” crooner not only reflected on her journey from R&B to country music and self-love, but also spoke on her longstanding rivalry with Braxton.
“[I] hate the b**ch… the muppet,” she said flatly, deliberately avoiding naming the Love and War singer directly. Michelle accused Braxton of continuing to take subliminal jabs at her since their Love & Hip Hop days — even as recently as after Beyoncé sent her flowers.
She also alleged that Braxton has attempted to block her from securing bookings in the past, and claimed that part of their longstanding tension stems from Braxton’s ex-husband, Vincent Herbert, allegedly pursuing her before, during, and after his relationship with Braxton.
“All because you ain’t got no edges? All because of your sister really the star? This is what this is about,” Michelle continued, while referring to Tamar’s older sister, Toni Braxton. “All because of the man that you love tried to talk to me before you, in the middle of you, and after you. All because I’m from the country, but you are the bumpkin. It is always something with this loud-mouth coyote.”

Despite advocating for women’s empowerment throughout her career, Michelle didn’t shy away from suggesting that her patience has run thin with Braxton. “I’m to the point where [although] I am for women uniting and all of this… but I’ma tell you one thing: I’ma slap the f**k out of her on sight,” she said.
Newton challenged her stance, questioning how her comments aligned with the idea of uplifting women, but Michelle didn’t back down. “That is a muppet; not a woman,” she fired back. She later added, “We don’t have to resort to violence or any of that, I get that. But if you consistently, behind closed doors — when the world isn’t watching — still poking at somebody three years consistent, and they don’t say a word, at some point I have to defend myself.”
Tamar Braxton has yet to respond to K. Michelle. See the clip at the 1:58:41-minute mark below.
