If anyone thought Ye’s flurry of music thus far in 2025 was done, he recently clarified that it is only the beginning. The 48-year-old artist announced that he is planning to release 10 songs from his March 2025 album, Bully, this week.
A fanpage for the artist formerly known as Kanye West, YeFanatics, got in direct contact with him via iMessage and asked about an official release for Bully. It was initially uploaded on X and YouTube in March with a complementary short film, and had a brief stint on Apple Music before being deleted. In short, there is no easy way to listen to the songs on their own.
The Chicago producer responded with a timeline of when all of the songs would be available, though he did not specify where. “Releasing 5 of the songs [tonight],” he wrote. “Will release another 5 [tomorrow] And then more the next day.” He closed the message with the admission that he was still working on the album, and followed up by telling the fan page to share the message publicly.
Here’s the thing: this text screenshot was shared at 3 a.m. on Monday (June 16), but the message timestamps are from 7:48, meaning the conversation took place at least one day before YeFanatics shared the screenshot. This is evident in the fact that the fan page previously shared another text screenshot on Saturday (June 14), where they were under the belief that Bully was coming out on June 15, only for Ye to say he was still working. In the messages, the timestamps show 19:07 and 20:19, meaning they set up their phone clock to operate on military time. So the screenshot shared on June 16 was from a conversation that took place the previous morning.
If one needed any more confirmation that this conversation took place this past weekend, the fan page wished Ye a Happy Father’s Day in the screenshot where Ye said how many songs would be coming out and when they were coming out. At the time of publication (Wednesday, June 18), there is no sign of any new music from the father of four. Delays are commonplace for the erratic artist, and fans are even more anxious since he has not tweeted since June 13. Fortunately, they have the YeFanatics fan page as a go-to source for information.
He last released “Alive” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again in May 2025, which was quickly overshadowed by Playboi Carti sharing his version of the track with the Baton Rouge, La. artist. “DIS MY SONG LIL BRA @ye,” the Atlanta artist wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post on his Opium page. Listen to “Alive” below.
