After providing the soundtrack to hit blockbuster Black Panther, Kendrick Lamar is clearly not finished leaving his mark on the superhero universe.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, the Compton rapper chatted about his Marvel collab describing it as a “privilege” to be involved. Asked if he could be making a cameo in a (currently) theoretical sequel, Kendrick stated:[tooltip id=”4500c2f113202943ff1ae30d00c9d4ac”] [/tooltip]“Come on, I got to now!”

As for what kind of role he sees himself playing, the artist revealed he’d like to play a character like Erik Killmonger, interpreted by Michael B. Jordan in the film.[tooltip id=”4500c2f113202943ff1ae30d00c9d4ac”] [/tooltip]“He was a villain but he was loved and misunderstood,” Lamar said.[tooltip id=”4500c2f113202943ff1ae30d00c9d4ac”] [/tooltip]“So if I could, I’d play a Killmonger for sure.”

According to Kendrick Lamar, the movie’s success is anything but fleeting, describing its triumph as “something that not only stands within its moment but stands within time.”
