Muvhango debuted on the 7th of April 1997 on SABC, which makes the soapie one of the longest-running shows in Mzansi.
Over the years we’ve seen many actresses come and go. While some of these actresses resigned, some were fired for poor performance, bringing negative publicity to the show, etc.
Here are four alleged actresses that did not leave Muvhango on their own:
The reality star, actress, and businesswoman; Khanyi Mbau joined Muvhango at a very young age. She was still schooling when she joined the show to play the role of Doobsie. Doobsie was a business-minded woman who was determined to get everything she wanted
She replaced the late Lindiwe Chibi who was the first Doobsie. Mbau was fired after she brought negative publicity to the respectable and traditional show by always being in the limelight for all the wrong reasons which included; partying wildly and being cheeky.
Former Muvhango actress Simphiwe Ngema starred on Muvhango as Thulisile Nkosi before she joined Isidingo as a geologist. Ngema was allegedly fired by Word of Mouth producers because her character was apparently useless and added no value to the production. Fans also didn’t help her case as they continuously complained about her acting skills on the show.
The recent star to be fired from Muvhango is actress and model; Buhle Samuels who played the role of Matshidiso.
This is the second time Samuels will exit the show. Samuels resigned the first time around but was recently fired for being rude and too demanding. According to certain media outlets and crew members; the actress was a nightmare to work with.
