Kim Kardashian shared her emotional testimony as multiple people stand trial for a 2016 heist where she was robbed at gunpoint. On the stand, the reality star detailed her thoughts when she was tied up by five masked men in a Paris hotel.
According to NBC News, 10 people (9 men and one woman), mostly in their 70s, are accused of the violent crime. Known as the “grandpa robbers,” the outlet noted that one of the defendants has died, and one was unable to attend the hearing because of poor health.
“I absolutely thought I was going to die,” she exclaimed to Judge David De Pas at one point. “I was sure that I was going to be raped,” she added after describing how the assailants put tape around her legs and mouth while she was “naked” and “exposed.”

She also shared, “It was really hard for me when people said I’d made it up for my TV show, I wasn’t filming my TV show,” adding, “It was really hurtful, that was something that really stung deeply.”
Despite all, the mother of four relayed, “I really do believe in second chances and believe in rehabilitation,” referring to her efforts in criminal reform. “I work in the justice system to provide these rehabilitation chances,” she added.
In October 2016, the thieves, disguised as police officers, entered Kardashian’s hotel room to carry out the heist. They were able to nab two cell phones, 1,000 euros ($1122.90), her purse, a ring worth $4.49M, and a jewelry box with other items worth $ 5.6M. At the time, her then-husband Kanye West (now referred to as Ye) abruptly ended a performance at New York’s The Meadows Music and Arts Festival after hearing the news.
In January 2017, a total of 16 people were arrested for their alleged involvement.
