Kodak Black‘s attorney, Bradford Cohen, recently called Maranda Johnson’s accusations of abuse and withholding financial support from their children “pure fiction.”
Cohen had time this weekend, taking to Instagram on Sunday (May 4) to shoot down the allegedly false narratives and present salient counterpoints. “Made up stories where we have evidence of Kodak not only paying and giving money for his children, but also buying gifts. The rest is pure fiction from a very selfish young lady,” he wrote in the caption accompanying a screenshot of an article where Johnson claimed the Florida rapper threw acid on her.
“I didn’t want to comment on this young lady committing defamation which we will sue her for, but also for the over 150k worth of damage she did to 7 cars and smashing a window of the house that had his kids inside.” Last year, Johnson shared photos of the damage done to Yak’s cars, writing “H*e yo sh*t next!” as a threat to his other baby mother. “She fought another mother of kodaks young child, hurt the child and the mother at a b day party that kodak paid thousands of dollars for his daughter.”
Cohen wasn’t done by a long shot, going as far as to call Johnson’s allegations a “money grab” and call her out for using their children to manipulate Kodak Black. “Not allowing him to see his kids until he pays an ungodly sum of money,” he wrote.
“It is truly disgusting how fathers are treated as cash cows. She is already being sued for the admitted damage to the vehicles and home. She will now be sued for defamation. I really wanted to stay on the sidelines on this because it’s family law. But now I will have to show why you don’t threaten my clients.”
Earlier this year, Kodak addressed his complicated love life with the track “Single Again,” which he released on Valentine’s Day. “Back in the streets/ That relationship sh*t/ Just ain’t the life for me/ Think we were better [off] friends/ Because [everything] changed when I got the cheeks/ I can hardly remember when, we never not beef/ I don’t remember the last time, everything was peaceful between us,” he rapped in the hook.
