Kym Whitley Kicks Off Vegas Residency At Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club

Kym Whitley has officially launched her residency at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas. The multi-talented entertainer began her performances on Sunday (Jan. 5), with shows scheduled every Sunday and Monday through February.

“This isn’t just another stand-up gig; it’s an unfolding narrative that invites you into my world,” Whitley shared in a press release. “In comedy clubs like this, laughter becomes our shared language—a way to reflect on life with courage and joy.”

She added, “Comedy should be fearless yet familiar, challenging you while making you feel seen. In this space where joy meets reflection, I aim to take everyone during these shows.”

Kym Whitley’s Vegas residency, held inside The LINQ Promenade, adds another layer to her impressive career as an award-winning comedian and actress. From her hilarious role in Act Your Age on Netflix to fan-favorite appearances in Next Friday, Young & Hungry, and HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm—Whitley continues to be a beloved figure in entertainment.

Aside from acting, Whitley has also worked behind the scenes as the executive producer of OWN’s docuseries Raising Whitley and as co-host of the award-winning podcast Two Funny Mamas alongside Sherri Shepherd. The podcast, which has already won two NAACP Image Awards, combines humor with candid discussions about parenthood and the entertainment industry.

The 63-year-old also has her own Audible podcast, KYM, co-created with Lena Waithe, which has earned a Signal Award for “excellence in storytelling.” Her ability to share her life in a comedic way extends to her authorship with novel The Delusion of Cinderella.
