Lil Baby has revealed that Hip-Hop’s next potential “Big 3” could potentially comprise of Young Thug, Future, and himself.

During an interview with Complex, Lil Baby spoke on his personal and professional relationship with Young Thug, whom he says he was in constant contact with during the YSL leader’s incarceration.

According to the WHAM creator, he and Thugger have been hard at work in the studio since Thug’s release and that the pair already have enough material for a full-length project.

What’s more is that the album could also be co-headlined by Future, as the pair was already working closely, at Thug’s behest.

“We’ve been in the studio together [every day] almost since he came home. So we got tons of songs,” Lil Baby said of Young Thug. “Me and Future were also going to drop a project, but it was Thug’s idea. The whole time while he’s locked up, I’m talking to him and trying to talk about the trial.”

“He’s like, ‘You need to get with Pluto and drop the tape with Pluto.’ I’m trying to talk about the trial. He ain’t even tripping. He’s like, ‘Bro, go to Miami. You need to lock in with Pluto, y’all need to drop an album. Do that for me.’”

The Atlanta native says that his joint-project with Future has effectively been shelved due to Young Thug’s return, but that the proposed duo will now likely be a trio, a meeting of the minds he’s particularly “excited” for.

“There probably won’t be a me and Future tape anymore because Thug is back,” Lil Baby admitted. “So, whatever it would be, it’ll be all three of us.”

He added, “[And that’s] super exciting, because to me, those are two of the main people that I would say I look up to in the rap game. So to be able to spar with them, I feel like that’s sharpened me up a whole lot.”

Lil Baby’s comments regarding a super group comprised of him and his fellow ATL natives comes on the heels of the rapper earning his fourth chart-topping release with new solo studio album, WHAM. Released in early January, WHAM debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 140,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week.
