Marlon Wayans Says Damon Wayans Sr. Dates Family Members’ Exes

Earlier this month, Damon Wayans Sr. dished about the time he dated one of his nephew’s ex-lovers, and the Club Shay Shay moment caught steam around the internet. A reporter recently caught up with his brother and fellow successful actor Marlon Wayans, who confirmed his sibling’s pattern of behavior and informed fans that he wants him to stop.

“Damon, you gotta stop doing that,” he told a TMZ reporter when asked about the nephew story. “That ain’t the first time, Damon. Damon’s the girlfriend-stealing bandit in the Wayans family. You gon’ stop this, Damon. You gon’ stop this! He’s the bandit.”

The White Chicks star continued to joke about the ordeal, claiming that more of their family members know about Damon’s behavior and have issued warnings. “We got a thing: don’t bring your girl around D, true player for real,” he said with a laugh, matching the tune of Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call.” “Damon got an Usher chain. Damon stop doing for real. It’s terrible. It’s not what brothers, siblings, uncles, and nephews do.”

But he wasn’t finished there. Marlon recalled a specific example about a time where he thought his lady was safe from the “bandit,” but she wasn’t. “Even the ugly ones, he take ’em all. I had one and I was like, ‘There’s no way he’s going to want her’… [but Damon said] ‘Mmm, there’s something sexy about her. She makes me feel a certain way,’” he concluded.

Although Marlon had a playful tone when teasing his older brother about his questionable dating choices, Damon pretty much doubled down on his actions. During the aforementioned Club Shay Shay interview, the My Wife & Kids actor said, “It wasn’t like they were in love,” when host Shannon Sharpe brought up the situation.

He continued defending himself by explaining how limited the dating pool is where they all reside. “Do you know how small the pool is our here in Cali? The dating pool. And this was probably, what, 2001-2… I got divorced and I was by myself for two years. And then I saw her and I was just like, I’m in love. And I found out my nephew had dated her. I’m like, ‘What’s up with that?’ He goes, ‘That’s you.’ I go, ‘Okay. Pass the Courvoisier.’ And I went ahead and I fell in love,” he added.

In terms of the consequences of his actions, he added with a laugh, “Family gatherings is awkward.”
