Award-winning comedian I Go Save has shared his observations on the state of modern marriages.

In a recent post on his Instagram story, he noted that some unions appear to be driven by factors other than love.

According to I Go Save, some people seem to prioritize having a dream wedding, gaining fame, and securing connections over building a meaningful relationship.

He suggested that when these expectations are met, some couples may choose to end their marriage.

I Go Save advised singles to reflect on their intentions and priorities before committing to marriage.

He wrote:

“E be like say these days, some marriages no be about love again o.
It’s about who can give you your dream wedding, fame, and connections, then Divorce.
Before you say, I Do, search your hearts”.

In another news, Veteran comedian Igosave laments widespread hunger in Nigeria.

On December 9, 2024, Igosave took to his Instagram story to encourage his followers to show empathy and provide assistance to those in need, whenever possible.

He highlighted the alarming rate of hunger in the country, stating that it has become a palpable and overwhelming concern.

Igosave also noted a significant increase in requests for financial assistance during the holiday season, emphasizing the need for collective support.

He wrote:

“The hunger in this country is so loud that you don’t need earphones to hear the sound…. The amount of ‘I Need Small Favour for Xmas’ on my phone this year is an all-time record breaker! Please lend a helping hand to whoever you can help if it’s convenient for you.”

His post sparked a wave of responses from Nigerians who shared their own struggles and frustrations with the rising cost of living.
