Kai Cenat‘s Streamer University dominated headlines in the content world over Memorial Day weekend 2025 thanks to an epic run of classes, collaborations, and celebrations. The four-day crash course model consisted of bringing together creators across all areas of content creation to gather among the halls of the University of Akron in a way that has never been done before.
Kicking off on May 22 and coming to a close on May 25, Streamer University had 17 professors, 120 students, and a curriculum of topics ranging from entertainment to business. Creators attended lectures and assemblies, bonded in the dorms together, and networked.
Each attendee was gifted a personal T-Mobile phone to stream with on upon arrival. Among the endless sea of streamers, leading the pack was YouTuber and rapper DDG, who also won “MVP” of the entire weekend. The top 10 most-viewed channels included familiar AMP faces like Agent and Ray, new additions to the streaming world like India Love, and others.
The eventful weekend was commemorated by Drake, who has embraced streaming early on. During the final assembly, he told the students in a pre-recorded video, “To be able to organize this incredible academia event and gather you all together in one place is something that has never been done before.”
“It’s an extraordinary feat, and I want you all to show the most love that you possibly can for your Dean, the one and only Kai Cenat,” the “Hotline Bling” rapper said.
