My bones are tired – RMD reflects, marks 64th birthday with swag

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has clocked 64. In true Warri fashion, he’s owning it with swagger, wisdom, and some good-natured humour about ageing bones.

Celebrating his new age on Sunday, July 6, 2025, the evergreen actor took to Instagram to drop powerful photos and heartfelt reflections that reminded fans why he’s still one of the flyest men alive.

In the birthday shoot, RMD rocked a black perforated short-sleeve shirt layered with gold and black beaded bracelets, on a set of earth-toned aso-ofi trousers. He added a brown-tinted sneakers, giving his outlook a pop of youthful energy.

For his second look, RMD wore a bright red ankara with yellow and black star designs, and topped it off with white sandal. He captioned his birthday photos:

“This is the reason we remain Warri Boys even in our old age. We don’t crack! We nor send!

This is 64. No kain. No Lele(lay lay). No kprogho (no shaking).”

RMD, who first gained national fame decades ago through iconic roles in films and soap operas, was full of gratitude in his message. He described himself as “super grateful and thankful. Graced beyond words,” and gave a heartfelt salute to his family, friends, and loyal fans.

In a video shared by his daughter Nichole, the actor also spoke briefly about the realities of ageing. While laughing about feeling youthful at heart, he added with a smile:

“But my bones are tired.”

Fellow celebrities like Adesua Etomi and Angela Okorie flooded his comments with love and birthday wishes, celebrating his impact and enduring legacy in Nollywood.
