Famous Nigerian artist Davido Adeleke, has opened up about how his father’s immense wealth sometimes made him feel broke.

In a recent interview during his appearance at Paris Fashion Week 2025, Davido shared this revelation.

The music star attended Amiri’s Fall/Winter show at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, alongside fellow Nigerian singer Omah Lay.

During the interview, Davido was asked if anyone had ever made him feel “broke” despite his wealth and status.

“In your life, have you ever met someone who made you feel broke?” Interviewer said.

The singer responded;

Yeah, my dad.

The statement has since gone viral on social media, sparking conversations about the vast fortune of his father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, a renowned business mogul and philanthropist.

This confession comes months after Davido disclosed in an interview that it took years for him to realize that his father is a very wealthy man.

In other news, Chief Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, the billionaire businessman and father of Nigerian music star Davido, recently opened up on the significant obstacles he encountered while building his $2 billion power plant.

Speaking at a conference in Maryland, USA, Adeleke detailed the hurdles he faced and the attempt by a government official to derail the project.

Deji Adeleke, who is also the President of Adeleke University and CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited, shared that a high-ranking official made efforts to halt the power plant’s construction.
