N.O.R.E. didn’t take too kindly to Dame Dash‘s latest interview, where he discussed former partner JAY-Z’s current sexual assault lawsuit while subtly shading the Queens rapper’s Drink Champs podcast

Dash argued in the Dec. 22 Art of Dialogue Q&A that Hov will likely need the support of “White media” to keep his reputation intact amid accusations of raping a 13-year-old girl back in 2000, later adding, “Drink Champs can’t get him out of this one and neither can Charlamagne [Tha God]. ‘Cause those are the guys that hold him down no matter what he does. So he got to get to People magazine and Entertainment Tonight right now ’cause they on his head.”

The “Nothin’” rapper took issue with the mention, calling him “Lame Dash” who’s “more Clueless than Stacey,” a reference Dame’s cousin who starred in the 1995 film of the same name.

Noreaga also dropped a recorded response via his Instagram Stories, where he stressed his busy travel schedule and reminded Dash that these are “the things you used to do” before his current financial woes.

“No one’s trying to disrespect you,” he went on. “We trying to show you love, but you keep coming at everybody. If you got beef with one person, you supposed to keep that beef with one person. You got beef with everybody around him…you became the Lame Dash. We don’t want to disrespect you, and I’m trying not to, as much as I can, because I actually respect the sh*t out of you, but you became the lame, chatty patty person that you said you against.”

Dame originally referred to Charlamagne Tha God as a “chatty patty” during his 2015 sit-down with The Breakfast Club.

“Get you life together, my number’s the same if you wanna work it out,” N.O.R.E. concluded.

This is not the first back-and-forth between the two men, as Dame previously implied that he believes N.O.R.E. tried to force him to drink Ciroc during his 2020 appearance on Drink Champs. The rapper responded to Dame’s “little fake shots” at him, saying he was never paid for his work on past Roc-A-Fella movies and soundtracks. In response, Dame threw out claims that JAY-Z told him not to sign N.O.R.E. to Roc-A-Fella.

“You’ll never see a picture with him and Jay or anything to do with Roc-A-Fella. I was trying to make it where he was embraced in our Roc-A-Fella family by putting him in the movie. If he wanted some bread, he could’ve asked. I don’t even remember if he got paid or not. But I know that when I put his reggaeton records out and helped him, I didn’t talk to him about money then and I’m not worried about money now.”
