During a candid conversation on the JAAKEV SHOW, Nasty C detailed how the track came together unexpectedly, thanks to veteran rapper Stogie T, who masterminded the collaboration without revealing the full lineup upfront.

“Stogie T has spoken about this publicly,” Nasty C began. “He tried to get us on a song together. But he knew off the rip there would be a lot of hesitation, so he didn’t tell me that A-Reece was on the song.”

According to Nasty, Stogie T approached him with a seemingly solo request: contribute a hook for a track. “Alright, I get the song, I do the hook, send it back to him,” he explained. “I’m like, I’m gonna work on a verse in the meantime, do what you do.”

But a few weeks later, Stogie dropped a bombshell: A-Reece and Maggz were also on the track. “I was like, what? How can you just skip over that?” Nasty recalled. “So when I heard that, I was like okay cool, get me his number—let me call him and see if we’re really where I think we are.”

What followed was a direct and refreshing moment of clarity between the two rappers. Nasty C reached out to A-Reece to clear the air before proceeding with the song.

“I texted him and I was like, ‘I just did a song with Stogie, I didn’t know you were gonna be on the song, but I’m still down to go ahead with this. Where are we at before we do that? Are we not f***ing with each other or what?’”

To his relief, A-Reece responded with mutual respect and clarity: “He was like, ‘Nah dude, what? We’re good. We’re not beefing or whatever.’ He said he had no idea either.”

With that exchange, one of South African hip hop’s most speculated “cold wars” may finally be over. “I think we once again confirmed that OK, nothing’s happening,” Nasty said. “If Stogie T decides to put the song out, he’s gonna put the song out. But we’re cool with being on the song together.”

Now, fans are turning their attention to Stogie T, eagerly awaiting his decision on whether the long-anticipated track will finally see the light of day.
