New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently appeared on a livestream hosted by popular content creator Sneako, engaging in a candid discussion that touched on his past legal challenges, upbringing, and the upcoming NYC Primary Elections.
The livestream, which took place on Saturday (June 14) also featured an appearance by influencer Amber Rose, who popped up at the undisclosed location to join Sneako and Adams for a round of cigars.
During the conversation, Adams addressed the 2024 bribery and corruption charges he faced, which were ultimately dismissed with prejudice. He expressed his belief that the prosecution had exaggerated isolated incidents in an attempt to undermine him and his administration.

Adams remarked, “They said, well, Turkey upgraded you when you flew. I don’t know who doesn’t try to get an upgrade. And they said, ‘We’re now saying that you committed bribery because you called the fire department and you pressured them not to pass inspection.’ I was facing over 30 years in prison for that.”
The discussion also delved into Adams’ early life in New York City. He recounted a period of involvement in criminal activities during his youth, including hustling and running numbers. A pivotal moment came when he and his brother were arrested at the age of 15.
“The cops took us to the 103rd precinct, where they kicked [my brother and me] in our groins over and over again. We were urinating blood for a week.”

This incident led him to reevaluate his path and commit to a future in public service. He stated, “That day, I said, you know what, I sold Mommy into slavery and I’m gonna buy her back. I went on a four payment plan.”
As the June 24 Democratic primary approaches, Adams faces significant challenges. A Quinnipiac University poll released in March 2025 indicates that only 11% of registered Democrats support Adams, while 31% favor former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Additionally, 56% of voters believe Adams should resign from office, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction with his leadership.

The livestream with Sneako has garnered attention, with some critics questioning the appropriateness of the platform and the individuals involved.
Sneako has faced criticism for past remarks, including antisemitic comments and associations with controversial figures.
Despite the backlash, Adams’ spokesperson defended the mayor’s commitment to engage with a diverse range of media personalities, emphasizing his longstanding support for the Jewish community and his efforts to combat hate in all its forms.
