Omar Gooding Hits Cam’ron With Diss Track

Cam’ron is never afraid to speak his mind, recently crediting 50 Cent for boosting the careers of multiple Black actors. Omar Gooding, however, didn’t take too kindly to being mentioned as an actor who “needed” 50 to resuscitate his career, and has responded to the Harlem native with a diss track.

The 48-year-old released “Fix Ya Mouth” this past Saturday (Jan. 25) and mimicked Cam’ron’s signature cadence and delivery. “I don’t know why you playing, you not a Killa, man/ Like Kenny showed us, there’s plenty of ways to kill a man/ You only get one warning shot, don’t make me do it/ You know my name, you say my name, don’t add no Jr. to it,” he rapped.

Later in the track, he added: “He probably didn’t mean it like he said it, but he said it so f**k that dude/ I know them sneaky freaks and how they think/ They like to booboo and don’t think it stink and then they favorite color’s pink/ But probably call it salmon.” Check out the diss track below.

Cam’ron hosted 50 Cent on It Is What It Is back in December, where he made his statement which triggered Omar Gooding. “No disrespect to nobody I’m talking about like Ving Rhames, you sitting around, or Omar Gooding Jr., y’all ni**as sitting around,” he said. “I would have saved my money and shot my own sh*t by now, but the Black actor has to sit around for a 50 Cent or somebody in your lane to come pick them up [and] put them in something.”

Gooding is no slouch when it comes to television and film. He had major roles in Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, Smart Guy, One On One, Barbershop, and Baby Boy, which Ving Rhames coincidentally starred in, as well. Nonetheless, their “primes” are seemingly behind them, which prompted Killa’s comment.

The Come Home With Me rapper has also been engaged in a back-and-forth with his Diplomats comrade Jim Jones. Jones called him and Fif “d**kriders” during a recent interview with Justin LaBoy and Cam responded by saying Jim was a fan who begged to be in Dipset, he isn’t actually from Harlem, and Ma$e had to teach him how to rap. Since then, Capo has teased diss records targeted at Cam.
