OnePlus Pad: what are its main selling points?
The OnePlus Pad has a slightly different aspect ratio than the majority of devices currently on the market. It is wider and designed to feel like reading a book. With a 2800 x 2000 resolution and 144Hz frame rate, the monitor is stunning. It is a complete laptop substitute and comes with a full-sized keypad with a trackpad and a magnetic stylus.

First Impressions
The first thing that most people will notice about the OnePlus Pad is its lightweight yet sturdy build. The OnePlus Pad weighs 552g and is only 6.54mm thin. The frame is made of metal, and the general design is quite elegant. Even though it wasn’t the final version, the tablet’s software felt refined and quick, as is customary for OnePlus devices. You can access the split-screen multitasking mode by swiping down with two fingers from the middle, which is a really simple shortcut that we liked.
Gizchina News of the week
Titan Black and Eternal Green will be the two colour options offered for the OnePlus Pad. For a brief period, Phonearena had the Eternal Green device to try. You can see how it appears in the images above. A familiar look with a central camera on the rear and the OnePlus logo setup exactly in the middle of the tablet. As you can see, the OnePlus Pad’s keyboard case is also in a matching hue and has a nice appearance. For a more upscale experience, the white OnePlus Stylo can automatically connect to the OnePlus Pad.

It’s too soon to tell whether or not a tablet will be able to compete with and succeed with a laptop. When we have more time to play around with the gadget, we’ll let you know about that. There was no chance to try the sound on the OnePlus Pad yet, however, we know that it features Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.

Hardware
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, a flagship-grade CPU with the same high-performance Cortex-X2 as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, powers the OnePlus Pad. However, the SD8 Gen1 X2 clocks slightly higher at 3.05GHz. Together with OnePlus’ unique RAM-VITA tech, it also has a massive 12GB of RAM, and the company claims it can operate 24 active apps in the background. With a capacity of 9510 mAh, the battery size is also quite substantial. Expect a reserve period of one month or more than 12.4 hours of video viewing. The Pad also allows 67W SUPERVOOC charging; according to OnePlus, a full charge takes about an hour.
