Popeyes and Tequila Don Julio linked up this week for the release of its “Championship Lineup,” which featured a Popeyes x Tequila Don Julio Reposado Flavored Concha Roll Chicken Sandwich, Garlic 3-Piece Wings, and a Spicy Strawberry Hibiscus Flavored Lemonade Mocktail.
While the meal went viral online, the two brands hosted celebs down in Popeyes’ founding city of New Orleans Friday (Feb. 7) to celebrate the special and the Super Bowl. The star-studded shindig featured appearances from celebs such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Odell Beckham Jr., Reggie Bush, Speedy Morman and more, with “Nasty” singer Tinashe hitting the stage and rapper/ baller GELO performing his viral track, “Tweaker.”
