Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has met the conditions for his bail following his arraignment at the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The court, presided over by Magistrate O.L. Oke, granted the singer bail on Thursday, February 20, setting the amount at N2 million with a surety in like sum.
Portable was arraigned on a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, possession of weapons, and unruly conduct. However, he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The case follows the singer’s voluntary surrender to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba after the Ogun State Police Command declared him wanted.
He was subsequently transferred to the Ogun State Police headquarters before being arraigned in court.
Upon meeting his bail conditions at approximately 4:30 p.m., Portable tearfully knelt down to express gratitude to the magistrate.
