Nigerian singer Portable has shared his excitement on social media after receiving royalties from British-Nigerian rapper Skepta for their 2022 hit collaboration, “Tony Montana.”

The controversial artist took to Instagram, expressing his joy and gratitude after the payment from Skepta, celebrating the success of the track, which had topped music charts worldwide.

Released in December 2022, “Tony Montana” quickly gained traction, becoming a popular anthem across various music platforms.

Portable reacts to receiving royalties for 'Tony Montana' from Skepta

Portable’s posts were filled with praise for Skepta and appreciation for his team and fans.

In one of his posts, he wrote;

 “God bless you @skepta money don enter. Big thanks you @sonymusic. Tony Montana big God don do am again.”

He also thanked those who had supported him, he added:

“Tony Montana @skepta big smoke. God bless you all my helpers.”

In other news, British-Nigerian Hip Hop star, Michael Adenuga, better known as Skepta, has expressed frustration over how people he’s supported in the past now behave strangely.

He stated via his official X account that he sees ungrateful people who enjoyed support from him that they could never get from their father.

All I see is ungrateful long faces, from people who’s Fathers ain’t even done what I did for them,” Skepta wrote, leading to speculations that he may be referring to Portable whom he featured on the song, Tony Montana.

After his post went viral and generated massive reactions, he dropped a separate tweet expressing his belief in divine justice.

The 41-year-old rapper wrote; Good thing I don’t do things to get anything in return. God keeps the score…”
