Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has broken his silence following fresh allegations of assault.

Reports claim that the controversial artist, alongside his boy, attacked government officials at his Odogwu bar in Iyana Ilogbo, Ogun State, forcing them to flee for safety.

Amid the growing controversy, Portable has taken to social media to plead for prayers from his fans.

According to reports, the altercation occurred when government officials arrived at Portable’s bar for an official assignment.

The singer allegedly mobilized his area boys to chase the officials away, leading them to seek refuge at a nearby petrol station.

Following the incident, Portable is said to have gone into hiding to avoid arrest by law enforcement officers.

The allegations have sparked widespread reactions on social media.

Neither Portable nor the authorities have provided an official statement confirming or denying the claims.

Portable’s much-anticipated UK tour, which was scheduled to take place on February 7 in London and February 8 in Glasgow, has been postponed indefinitely.

The sudden cancellation came just hours after Portable was involved in a public fallout with his former mentor, Olamide.

In a statement addressing his fans, Portable explained that he needed to stay behind to protect his family and property.

While he did not directly reference the allegations against him, his message hinted at the personal challenges he is currently facing.

In a recent social media post, the “Zazu” crooner reached out to his followers, asking them to keep him in their prayers.

Reactions from fans have been mixed, with some expressing sympathy and pledging their support, while others criticized him for repeatedly finding himself in trouble.
