Ray J left viewers stunned during a Twitch livestream on Monday night (May 5) after making an unexpected and deeply disturbing revelation about his childhood. In the middle of a conversation that initially seemed casual, the singer and serial entrepreneur abruptly said, “My babysitter raped me,” pulling his hat down over his face and repeating the claim.
The atmosphere quickly shifted as the women on the stream fell silent, unsure whether to take him seriously. Some offered supportive advice as others were cautious with their responses. “We listen, and we don’t judge,” one woman said, as nervous laughter filled the room. Ray J himself chuckled for a moment before clarifying, “It’s not funny,” and then launched into graphic detail about the alleged abuse.
The “One Wish” singer described being coerced into sexual acts after a game of hide-and-seek, claiming the babysitter assaulted him. “She had some big ti**ies, she made me suck her ti**ies. They was real big too,” he continued adding humor to the serious claim. When one of the women asked if he was traumatized, Ray J said, “I tried to do what she told me to do. She said, Go up down, and now go up up down. But think I was just too small to really like, penetrate correctly, inside her hole.”
The livestream comes just days after another viral moment involving Ray J, when he appeared on Kai Cenat’s stream and expressed interest in joining one of the creator’s infamous sleepovers — suggesting they “shower” together as a group.
Cenat, visibly caught off guard, explained that they wear swim trunks and don’t bathe near each other, but Ray didn’t back down.
That exchange prompted concern from legendary singer Brandy, who texted her little brother the clip and asked, “Come on, Ray? What’s going on with you? You’re so much better than this.” Striking a nerve, Ray later posted a screenshot of their texts and shared an emotional response, saying, “My sister hates who I am! And all I’m doing is being myself.”

He also admitted to feeling alone, especially while navigating his separation from wife Princess Love. “I don’t know how to be better than who I am. I tried,” he continued, adding that he turns up when he feels isolated from his family. He then issued apologies to Brandy and their mother but admitted to feeling like he’s spiraling. “To my kids who might see this later when they are older — just know I work hard for you and only you,” he wrote. “If it wasn’t for you, Melody and Epik, I would’ve been locked up or dead.”
Just this past March, the 44-year-old was briefly detained by LAPD after a heated dispute with Princess Love. The argument took place shortly after he returned home from The Millennium Tour and reportedly escalated to the point where she called the police. Though Ray J was placed in handcuffs and put in a squad car, no charges were filed.
