In the jailhouse call heard round the world, a conversation between Sean “Diddy” Combs and Ye somehow leaked for public consumption. The Shade Room shared a clip revealing the Harlem mogul’s belief he will emerge victorious from his criminal trial. Combs also sent warnings, encouragement and gratitude to the Chicago artist from behind bars.
“I’ll tell you the real from the front line, this sh*t is wicked, wicked, wicked, so you be careful,” declared Combs in the first clip of the carousel upload. “We need you out there,” Diddy continued to plead.
Ye answers with “Yes sir.”
The video is filmed from Ye’s perspective and the rapper appears to be recording the conversation from another device in his lap.

Diddy continued, “Get behind the mic, have some fun. Chop up them samples. Get back on your hit man vibe. Have some fun. Get back to smiling. F**k these other motherf**kers, they are wasting your time. Put that love in your heart [and] enjoy yourself. When I get out there, I want to see you fu**king tear down the stadiums, I need to see you back on that stage, actually rapping and performing and everything. I be dreaming of that sh*t.”
“It’s time for me to grab the mic and get back on,” Ye responds. “It’s like I love music again.”
Combs then exclaimed, “We gon’ have years and decades to fight these motherf**kers. Right now, enjoy your life. This is coming from me, from God to you.”

Elsewhere in the call, the topic shifts from Ye to Combs’ current legal situation.
“You gon’ definitely beat this sh*t,” affirmed Ye to Diddy.
“I got like 59 more days before trial so, I’ll definitely be touching in to tap into your energy or something. Play me some sh*t over the phone, give me some f**king life. This sh*t is f**king sad. I’m Puff Daddy in jail. This sh*t is f**king sad as a motherf**ker,” Combs shared. “The devil is a liar.”

The Bad Boy Records founder continued to praise Ye for connecting with his children.
“I just want to thank you so much for just taking care of my kids man. Ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call, you know what I’m saying. Nobody… That meant so much, that you reached out to them and took them under your wing.”
Ye then answers with, “Yeah, absolutely. I love you so much, man. It’s like you raised me even when I didn’t know you, you know what I’m saying?”
“I’m gonna beat this sh*t and get next to you. We gon raise our families, and become the kings that we’re supposed to be,” Combs hits back.

This leaked audio comes on the heels of Ye’s new single “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” which was released last week. The song features his eldest child, North West, as well as Diddy, Diddy’s son, Christian “King” Combs, and Chicago musician Jasmine Williams.
Combs remains behind bars pending trial for racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. The disgraced mogul also faces dozens of civil lawsuits for his alleged violent behavior.
Ye has also made headlines recently for antisemitic outbursts, and wild music takes.
