Deliberations have started in the criminal trial where Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused of sex trafficking, racketeering, and more. According to Variety, on Monday morning (June 30), the jury exited the courtroom to begin the fateful process after they received 2-hour instructions from Judge Arun Subramanian.

“Each of you must make your own decision about the proper outcome of this case,” explained Judge Subramanian, per Reuters. “No juror should surrender his or her conscientious beliefs for the purpose of returning a unanimous verdict.”

The 55-year-old has pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy and two counts each of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, and has remained behind bars since his September 2024 arrest.

According to the Associated Press, three jurors are under the age of 40 and five are over 60. Although their identities remain anonymous for now, the outlet reported various facts such as more members of the jury label themselves listeners of classical music rather than Hip-Hop.

Of the eight men, their ages ranged from 31-69, with professions including scientist, social worker, and investment analyst. The four women range in age from 30-74 and work as a deli clerk, nursing home dietary aide, physician assistant, and a former treatment coordinator at a charity for blind people.

During the trial, Combs was warned by Judge Subramanian that he could be removed from the courtroom due to facial expressions he repeatedly made to jurors.

In its closing arguments, the Harlem native’s legal team argued that their client “did not do the things he is charged with, racketeering or sex trafficking,” according to NBC News.

“He is going to fight to the death to defend himself against what he didn’t do,” declared defense attorney Marc Agnifilo.

Rapper 50 Cent weighed in and suggested the lawyers did not execute their sharpest work.

“Damn they did Diddy dirty them closing statements man, I could have done better [than] that,” he exclaimed. “How much he pay them lawyers? She didn’t have the worst lawyer, You are the worst lawyer. Remember the name Marc Agnifilo. He just got Diddy a** 20 years.”

It is unclear who the “she” is to whom he’s referring.
