  • A once-promising pastor, hailed by many as a rising force for God’s work, left jaws dropping with his unexpected gay marriage in the UK.
  • Those who knew him well struggled to reconcile the man they once admired with this bold turn, sparking deep questions about what could have led to such a dramatic shift.

Former Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF) leader at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Pastor Jimmy, has sent shockwaves through religious and social circles after photos of his wedding to a male partner in the United States surfaced online.

Once a revered figure on campus, Pastor Jimmy, who served as a preacher, music director, and eventually RCF President during his Microbiology studies from 2015 to 2019, was known for his fiery sermons and spiritual leadership. Many saw him as a vessel destined for God’s work, a beacon of faith among students.

But the newly surfaced images paint a starkly different picture. With his plaited hair, Pastor Jimmy is seen flaunting his wedding ring, sharing a kiss with his partner, and embracing his gay union with an air of defiance, unapologetic, unrestrained.

The transformation left many, including BBNaija star Pere Egbi, grappling with disbelief.

Those who knew him struggled to find words, while others took to social media, voicing confusion, curiosity, and, for some, quiet introspection.

In other news, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, a Catholic missionary priest in Gambia, recently took to Facebook on Friday, February 21, to expose what he described as the unsettling double lives of many pastors.

According to Fr. Ugwu, the same people filling pews every Sunday are often the ones seeking solace from native doctors and placing their hopes in ‘juju.’

He warned that this secret blend of faith and fetish is why juju practices have insidiously migrated from hidden shrines to the very altars of modern churches.

Ugwu did not hold back on specifics, called out high-profile clerics like Prophet Odumeje and Fufeyin by name. Fr. Ugwu accused them of promoting questionable practices.
