Fans of the hit drama Snowfall can rejoice, as FX has officially greenlit a pilot for a highly anticipated spinoff.
After a year of speculation and early development, the network confirmed the spinoff will move forward with production set to begin this summer.
The new series will center on the beloved characters Wanda and Leon Simmons, portrayed by Gail Bean and Isaiah John, respectively, as they continue their journey in the aftermath of Snowfall’s tumultuous conclusion.
For those who followed Snowfall from its gripping premiere in 2017 to its dramatic conclusion in 2023, the characters of Wanda and Leon were integral to the show’s emotional depth and narrative arc.
The fictional couple’s dynamic was one of the most compelling elements of the original series, and fans will be eager to see how their story unfolds in the new chapter.
Bean’s notable work extends beyond Snowfall, with standout roles in projects such as P-Valley and The Piano Lesson.
