Storm Reid has optimistic feelings surrounding her Euphoria exit. On Tuesday at Time’s Women of the Year dinner at the West Hollywood Edition hotel, the actress shared with Variety that there are not any ill feelings between her and Zendaya, the leading actress who plays her sibling in the series.
“That’s my sister before Euphoria and after,” explained the 21-year-old. “That’s gonna be my sister for life, so I’m sure we’ll work together again one day in some capacity.”
She continued to detail, “[It’s] bittersweet,” adding, “I love Gia. I loved being able to embody her and give her life. I’m really excited for Season 3. I know they’re going to do something special and it’s going to be good.”

Euphoria was first renewed for a third season in February 2022 after the second installment premiered on HBO. In November 2023, the series confirmed a 2025 return, yet in March 2024, it was reported more delays were caused as creator Sam Levinson refined the script.
In December of 2022, Zendaya described how she hopes her character Rue, a troubled teenager, moves forward, saying, “And I know that she can do it because Sam wrote it, and Sam is Rue, and he’s done it,” explained the star, touching on the creator’s past struggle with addiction.

According to Deadline, the eight-episode third season of Euphoria will feature a time jump that takes the characters out of high school. It is set to premiere in 2026. Not returning alongside Reid include Algee Smith and Nika King. Angus Cloud, who played the series regular of “Fezco” in the first two seasons, died on July 31, 2023.
Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, and Kadeem Hardison will join the cast with returning leads Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Colman Doming among others.
