The 2025 Met Gala went off without a hitch, with most of the night’s attendees stepping it up for the evening’s theme, “Tailored For You.” Two attendees, however, wore looks so similar that they immediately caught the public’s attention.
Stylist Law Roach has now addressed the white suits worn by both his biggest client, Zendaya, and actress Anna Sawai, as it is assumed showing up in the same ‘fit on fashion’s biggest night is a major faux pas. According to Roach, however, it wasn’t that deep.

“I think people thought there was some kind of disappointment on our end,” Roach told Entertainment Tonight Tuesday (May 13). “[Sawai’s] stylist, Karla Welch, and I are very friendly, we’ve known each other for years, and Karla and I talked. Zendaya sent Anna flowers because it was her first Met.”
“But yeah, it wasn’t any disappointment,” he continued. “It was two people paying homage to two different people, Yoko (Ono) being Anna’s inspiration and Diana (Ross) and Bianca (Jagger) being ours. It just happened and they both looked great and they’re both beautiful women.”
On the night in question, Roach was taken aback when he first saw the Shōgun actress hit the red carpet in a look similar to the Euphoria star‘s, though Zendaya’s three-piece suit was by Louis Vuitton while Sawai’s look was from Dior. “I am dying ‘cause she’s got on Zendaya’s look,” he said during a red carpet interview with Hello Beautiful. “I’m so glad we came early.” Check out the moment below.
