Sunmbo Adeoye, wife of Pastor David Adeoye and mother of two of 2Baba’s children, has shared her emotional testimony of battling infertility before the birth of her son, David.

In a heartfelt Instagram post marking David’s 7th birthday, Sunmbo revealed she went through multiple failed IVF attempts and miscarriages with no medical explanation. She wrote:

“After multiple Failed IVF’s, multiple miscarriages, with no logical reasons, hope felt like a myth. It wasn’t easy but we kept trusting God.”

She described the pain of trying to conceive again after marriage to Pastor Adeoye in 2013.

Despite already having two children with 2Baba, Sunmbo and her husband faced years of waiting. “My mum kept reassuring me that I will indeed deliver a living baby, year in and out.” she shared.

She believes the miracle began on the night of her husband’s birthday. “That was the night ooo. In the midst of that celebration. We danced, laughed, snapped pictures… and that boom, the miracle clicked.” she wrote.

But even after conceiving, fear lingered. She shared:

Then the pregnancy began to grow, 1st and 2nd trimester passed, Smooth, ..very smooth. the time I usually have the miscarriages came and Fear tried to creep in, whispering the past into my womb. No way oo!.”

It took a touching word from her son Nino to shake it off. “Don’t let fear steal our joy,” he told her in the kitchen. That moment, she said, helped her embrace joy and faith once again.

The entrepreneur ignored voices telling her to keep her pregnancy quiet. “They said ‘take it down,’ I said ‘watch Him perfect it.’ Did He not do it?” she asked triumphantly.

She also praised Pastor Adeoye, who waited 21 years to become a father, for standing firm during labour. “He was praying, watching, fighting and declaring the word while we wrestled,” she wrote.

Sunmbo said she shared her story to encourage those still holding on to God for a miracle. Her son David, now 7, is her reminder that “God will make you laugh.”
