Toronto Raptors Are The 2019 NBA Champions, Drake Announces He’s Dropping Two Songs

“Omertá” and “Money in the Grave” featuring Rick Ross will hit the streets on Friday.

Raptors in six! The NBA Finals are over now that the Toronto Raptors have defeated the Golden State Warriors 114 to 110. For the first time in franchise history, the Raptors are NBA Champions, and while Warriors fans are disappointed, the city of Toronto has every right to rejoice. The Warriors put up a good fight until the end, but undoubtedly Klay Thompson’s third-quarter injury played a significant role in the team’s structure.

Kawhi Leonard and Fred VanVleet’s 22 points, along with Kyle Lowry’s 26, all aided in the Raptors gaining an advantage over their competitors. The Toronto team dominated from the offset of the Finals, making a shot at the title an uphill battle for the Warriors. Raptors President Masai Ujiri spoke with reporters immediately after the game and said, “We’ve been growing. I’ve tried to prove to the world that there’s a meaning to having an NBA team, one NBA team, outside the U.S. And all these guys, these players, they’ve been unbelievable. To our coaches, to our ownership, and much respect to the Golden State Warriors. And to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, we love you as NBA players. We wanted to win in Toronto and we won in Toronto!”

To celebrate his team’s win, Raptors ambassador Drake announced that on Friday he’s dropping to new tracks titled “Omertá” and “Money in the Grave” featuring Rick Ross.”THE CHIP TO THE 6!!!!!!!!!!!!” Drake wrote on Instagram. “SEE YOU 2MRW WITH A 2 PACK LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽”

June 12, 2019 World Champions USA Demolish Thailand 13-0

World Champions USA Demolish Thailand 13-0

USA head coach Jill Ellis says she was “in tears” as her team recorded the biggest ever victory in the Fifa Women’s World Cup against Thailand.

The USA were 3-0 up at half-time but struck 10 times in the space of 40 second-half minutes, with Alex Morgan scoring five in the 13-0 win.

“It was awesome,” Ellis said.

“You want your forwards hot in a tournament and it’s a great start, especially for Morgan. Hopefully she carries it on through the finals.”

Morgan’s five goals mean she has more goals than any other team has scored at the World Cup so far – with France’s 4-0 win against South Korea in the opening game the biggest margin of victory until now.

“I was in tears watching them,” Ellis added. “It verifies who we picked. It is about building momentum and that is part of the process.

“You want the players to leave with a good feeling. If they are in a good place mentally, that is a big step.”

‘I’ve dreamed of it since I was a little girl’

While Ellis led the USA to success in the 2015 tournament, Morgan’s role was limited by her recovery from a knee injury.

However, this time around she has arrived in France as one of the most recognised American players of her generation and seeking to make up for lost time.

“I’ve dreamed of it since I was a little girl – we want that gold star,” she told BBC Sport after taking her international goals tally to 106.

“Tonight, we knew that every goal could matter in this group-stage game.

“When it comes to celebrations, this was a really good team performance and it was important for us to celebrate with each other.”

‘We have got more to do’

The nature of the USA’s emphatic start appeared to be pleasing for Ellis, who had been criticised by former goalkeeper Hope Solo in the build-up to their Group F opener.

While the prospect of Thailand, the 34th-ranked team in the world, providing a stumbling block for the favourites had appeared remote, Ellis said she had told her team to be relentless in their approach.

“This is a world championship,” she added. “Every team that’s here has been fantastic to get to get to this point.

“To be respectful against opponents is to play hard against opponents. It is a tournament where goal difference is a criterion. You have to go out and compete.

“I don’t find it my job to go and harness players and rein them in. This is what they’ve dreamt about. I respect Thailand.

“I spoke to some of their players afterwards and said keep you heads up. It’s part of the growth of the game. But we believe we have got more to do. We’re going to stay humble and go back to work.”

Alex Morgan became the second player in World Cup history to score five goals in a game, 27 years after Michelle Akers

Future Champions For Imminent Release Of YNW Melly

Future stands by YNW Melly.

Yesterday, an incarcerated YNW Melly celebrated his twentieth birthday, prompting a mild spike in the “Free Melly” movement. One such participant was none other than Big Future himself, who took to Instagram to offer up some birthday wishes to “da kid” before offering up a “free Melly” of his own. Of course, such loyalties are bound to spark division, especially given what Melly has been accused of doing. Yet Future has never been concerned with another person’s opinion, and will likely continue to carry himself as he always has.

Future’s pledge of Melly loyalty follows one from his Super Slimey partner Young Thug, who slid a “Free Melvin” into some unreleased bars. Clearly, the incarcerated rapper has friends in high places, willing to look past his alleged crimes, perhaps choosing to examine an alternate take on the situation. Though Melly’s circumstances certainly appear bleak, considering the fact that the death penalty is on the table, there are still many fans and artists alike remaining loyal to his cause.

Though Kanye West has yet to publically comment on Melly’s alleged crimes, he had taken a keen interest in the young rapper’s artistic development. If push came to shove, one has to wonder where he stands on the matter. In any case, look for Future to remain unwavering in his support for Young Melly, come what may.
