SZA Steals The Show With Summery Bikini Photos

SZA flexes her summertime goals in a checkered bikini.

We’re hoping that we get a new SZA album before the end of the year and although that’s not looking entirely likely, we’re still getting periodical updates from the star. The TDE singer absolutely blew up after the release of CTRL and since then, she’s been following up on her success, teasing A from time to time. SZA has hinted in the past that her next album will be her last and while we don’t want her musical career to come to an end, we’re craving some new tunes from the superstar. She made sure to update her Instagram page with recent photos of herself, proving that she’s in good spirits and thinking positively.

Last week, the songstress took a trip to a waterfall, lounging in the water and enjoying life. “MENTAL HEALTH AND FAMILY ABOVE ALL THINGS,” she wrote on one picture, posing by the rocks. Her trip appears to have been refreshing with her latest upload coming today. She posted an image of herself in a checkered bikini, another waterfall pic and a video of one of her family members doing a backflip into the water. Hopefully, SZA feels confident and can continue to blow us away with her incredible vocals.

Are you hoping for a new album this year?

SZA Mourns Grandmother with New Tattoo

SZA and grandmother

SZA is mourning the loss of her grandmother.

The “Just Us” singer revealed that her grandma passed away at the age of 90. Taking to Instagram, SZA paid tribute to her with a slideshow of photos, including one of her with her mother and grandmother at the Grammys. She also revealed a new neck tattoo featuring her grandmother’s name Norma.

“Dec 25 1928- June 19 2019,” SZA captioned the images.

The loss hasn’t been easy for SZA. Last month, she told fans that her grandmother was not doing well. “Pls pray for her,” she wrote.

SZA had a close relationship with her grandmother. Fans will recall that her granny is featured on “Garden (Say It Like Dat)” off her album Ctrl. “You stand your ground,” Norma says on the outro. “If you don’t like me, you don’t have to fool with me. But you don’t have to talk about me or treat me mean.”

She received condolences from fans and friends including Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, and Daniel Caesar. “Thank you so much everyone . Granny loves you more,” said SZA.

SZA gets tatted in honor of her late grandmother.

SZA has been processing a painful loss lately. The singer and songwriter has been dealing with the sickness of a close relative, her grandmother. SZA fans may recall the sassy voice of her grandmother giving SZA advice on a track from her debut album, CTRL. And in a swift Instagram post, the singer confirmed that her grandmother had passed. In honor of her late granny, SZA shared a photo of a new tattoo she has gotten along with photos of herself and her grandmother. The caption which was tied to the post read: “Dec 25 1928- June 19 2019” which considerably confirms the passing. We offer SZA our deepest condolences for the loss of her grandmother.

Sephora Closing All Its Stores For Diversity Training After SZA Incident

Sephora is doing company-wide damage control.

Sephora is making company-wide changes following the incident which happened at their Calabas location with TDE songstress SZA. As you may recall, SZA called out “Sandy Sephora” for having her followed through the store and calling the police out of the belief that she was stealing. The racial profiling incident led to much outrage on social media, with users calling for the boycott of Sephora. And since SZA was simply attempting to purchase her Fenty Beauty, Rihanna herself chimed in with a gift card which cited “go buy your Fenty in peace, sis.” Ever since the ordeal occurred, Sephora has been doing major damage control.

According to USA Today, Sephora is planning on closing all its stores on June 5th to place workers in a sensitivity and diversity training. The initiative was prompted by SZA’s incident and will hopefully serve to prevent any similar incidents from happening in the future. Approximately 16K employees will be trained on the brand’s values which includes, based on a released statement, “building a community where diversity is expected” because the makeup supplying company “believes in championing all beauty.” Moreover, the training will not only take place in the retail stores but also at the distribution and corporate levels.
