Tamika D. Mallory, activist, co-founder of the Women’s March, and trailblazing social justice leader, is gearing up to release her highly anticipated memoir, I Lived to Tell the Story: A Memoir of Love, Legacy, and Resilience.

To celebrate the release, Mallory is hitting the road for a powerful and impactful book tour upon its release on February 11. The first set of tour dates kick off Feb. 13 in NYC, and will continue through Feb. 20, ending at Baldwin & Co. coffee and bookstore in New Orleans.

“I’m so excited for you all to experience my journey through, I Lived To Tell The Story,” she announced on Instagram. “It’s been a roller coaster. I’m looking forward to bringing you all along for the ride!”

This project is the follow-up to her critically acclaimed book State of Emergency, which was written in response to the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. In I Lived to Tell the Story, Mallory continues to share experiences, reflecting on her early days as an activist, the challenges she has faced, and those that sought to silence her voice.

However, Mallory’s perseverance, resilience, and belief in the power of change is still present. In her memoir, she doesn’t hold back as her message is clear: change requires resilience, and progress means that we never back down.

Tamika D. Mallory is more than a just a writer, but one of the most recognized voices in social justice. Her 2020 speech following George Floyd’s murder was hailed as “the speech of a generation” by ABC News. She continues to fight for gun violence prevention, criminal justice reform, and grassroots organizing—pushing boundaries to make lasting change.
