  • The songstress clinched the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammy Award ceremony, making it the 2nd time she’s won the award.

Nigerian songstress, Tems has finally spoken out after her big win at the 2025 Grammys, where she took home the award for Best African Music Performance.

The talented artiste, who has been making waves in the music industry, expressed her gratitude and humility on social media, crediting her success to divine intervention.

With her song “Love Me JeJe”, Tems outshone other notable artists, including Yemi Alade, Asake, Chris Brown, Davido, Lojay, and Burna Boy, to claim the prestigious award.

This marks Tems’ second Grammy win, a testament to her hard work and dedication to her craft.

The award-winning singer has earned a total of eight Grammy nominations throughout her career, including three nominations at this year’s ceremony.

Tems’ excitement was palpable as she shared photos of herself, her mother, and her team on Instagram and X, beaming with pride and joy.

She referred to herself as a “Child of Grace”, acknowledging that her success is a result of God’s favour and blessing.

In another report, Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest took a subtle swipe at Afrobeats singer Burna Boy after he lost out at the 67th Grammy Awards.

In a cryptic post, Cubana Chief Priest implied that Tems won in the Best African Music Performance category because American rapper P. Diddy was in police custody.

On his IG stories, he wrote: “If to say Diddy dey outside, dem for use Johnson baby oil rub away her Grammy.”
