Beyoncé’s Cécred hair care line isn’t just another money-grabber profiting off of women — it’s deeper than that. It’s a celebration of her upbringing, advanced science, and self-care. Since its launch, the Cécred seat has become a go-to for hair-care lovers of all backgrounds, and famous faces alike.
Teyana Taylor is the latest beauty to slide into the Cécred Salon chair. Having set hair trends for years with curly fros, pixie cuts, mullets, sculpted curls, and more, she joined Cécred’s Vice President Tina Knowles and Director of Education and Trichologist Dr. Kari Williams to debut a new look.
“Hey y’all it’s your girl Teyana Taylor,” she begins before hilariously having to begin her line again. “Spin me back around,” she demands before excitedly sharing that she’s getting the “Cécred experience.” After discovering her hair had a bit of dryness, Teyana’s hair was treated with the line’s products. While waiting, the Harlemite played a fun rapid questions game, showed off her paint skills, and then debuted her precisely cut and styled pixie hair-do. See below.
Teyana isn’t the only star to have graced the space. Her appearance follows Victoria Monét, Kid Fury, Crissle from The Read, Love Island USA‘s season 6 winner Serena Page, Jessie Reyez, Josh Levi, Solange’s son Julez J. Smith Jr., and Beyoncé, of course.
Responsible for all of the magic happening in studio, Bey has elected a team including Lead Global Stylist Neal Farinah, who’s the visionary behind some of Bey’s most unforgettable hair moments such as the wet ‘n wild “Drunk in Love” bob to her flawless Cowboy Carter platinum press. Alongside Farinah is Dr. Williams, the Director of Education at the brand, who’s is a licensed barber, cosmetologist, trichologist and proclaimed inventor of the culture-shifting Goddess Locs.
As Beyoncé herself put it, “It’s been my lifelong dream to create a brand that could work for everybody- whether you’re pin straight, coily, wavy, curly, or anything in between. This is haircare for all types and textures defined by its performance, quality, and intention. Our patent-pending science keeps hair healthy no matter how you show up. Cécred is for everyone because everyone is sacred.”
Now, let’s take a look at the famous faces who’ve sat in the Cécred Salon seat and emerged with freshly polished crowns.

Beyoncé
Image Credit: Youtube/Cécred screenshot After launching her Cécred haircare line in February 2024, Beyoncé pulled back the curtain, letting fans see just how well the products work for her hair. Last April, the 43-year-old icon shared a promo video on Instagram that took consumers through her personal wash day routine using her own line.
“Now that Cécred is known for its quality and what it does for your hair, I think it’s time to show y’all what it does for my hair… I’m really proud of the quality,” she said at the start of the clip while getting her hair washed in a salon chair. She praised their hydrating shampoo, rice and rose water ritual, nourishing conditioner, and moisture seal. Beyoncé also took a moment to check the tired narrative that healthy hair can’t exist under wigs. “The stigma and misconception is that people who wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair. That’s some bullsh*t,” she said with a smirk.
In the caption, the mother of three reflected on how her love for hair has always gone hand in hand with her creative evolution. “Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me. My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years…” she wrote.
She also revealed that her 25-year journey as a blonde played a major role in developing Cécred’s formulas. “Maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair through all the experimenting I do has played a huge part in developing @cecred’s products. It’s the hardest to keep color-treated hair healthy and strong, but @cecred is here. All quality, with NO shortcuts. Congratulations to the entire Cécred team for contributing to developing award-winning products.”

Victoria Monét
Image Credit: Phillip Faraone/Getty Images Victoria Monét stepped into Beyoncé’s Cécred salon and her hair results were nothing short of amazing. The Grammy-winning songstress got the full-on crown treatment with a little help from Mama Tina herself and Dr. Williams.
In the warm, joy-filled video, the “On My Mama” singer opened up about her hair journey while getting some much-needed relief from her scalp woes. “I have seborrheic dermatitis, which is like a form of eczema for the scalp,” she explained to the expert. “I wear a lot of sew-ins and wigs. I’m changing my hair often, so there’s lots of different people in my hair. Honestly, after a sew-in or a wig, I just get so itchy, so I know this is about to feel good.”
With use of Cécred’s fermented rice and rose protein treatment, clarifying shampoo, and a few more essentials from the lineup, Monét’s tresses went from dull to lively. Further into her session, Monét asked Ms. Knowles about her wildest salon story, to which she didn’t hesitate to share a hilarious throwback from a young Beyoncé. She shared that Bey once cut off both of her ponytails and tried to hand them back for a reattachment. “She thought you could just put your hair back on,” Tina said, bursting into laughter.

Julez Smith Jr.
Image Credit: Amy Sussman/WireImage for Parkwood Beyonce’s nephew and Solange’s son, Julez Smith, had to check out his auntie’s hair care line, although he’s probably been using it before it was patented. Joining Dr. Williams in the Cécred salon, Julez popped off his appointment with the question: “What should I be doing on a weekly basis to take care of my hair?”
Williams suggested using clarifying shampoo weekly and then proceeded to wash Julez hair as he took a short nap under the faucet. See below.

Serena Page
Image Credit: Carol Lee Rose/Getty Images Serena Page, winner of Love Island USA season six, appeared on Who’s in the Cécred Salon where she received expert service from the Cécred team. Fresh off filming in Fiji, Serena stepped into the salon with 10 weeks’ worth of braided buildup from the show. “It’s been in braids about 10-plus weeks, it hasn’t had enough TLC while I was on the island,” she admitted with a laugh. “It was just cooped up in those braids, so I just took it out a few days ago.”
Dr. Kari Williams, Cécred’s Director of Education, walked Serena through a personalized treatment plan which included using their clarifying shampoo and exfoliating scalp scrub, reconstructing mask and hydrating conditioner and more.
During her session, Serena revealed that she hadn’t stepped foot in a salon in years, but had been making her own DIY hair products. She also was surprised by her boyfriend and fellow Love Island castmate Kordell Beckham.

Josh Levi

During his appointment, which included the Cécred experience, the fellow Houston native played a round of rapid-fire questions while Dr. Williams showed how to lay the foundation for his signature braids.
Answering the question: “What phase of hair love are you in?” he responded, “I’m in my healthy hair era. My jet black hair era. I’m in my self-love era.”

Kid Fury and Crissle
Image Credit: Bennett Raglin/Getty Images The Read podcast co-hosts Kid Fury and Crissle stopped by the salon to each receive different treatments for their respective crowns. Joined by Dr. Williams and Tina Knowles, Crissle’s coils and curls were treated to the full foundation line of Cécred and a trim, whereas Kid Fury received a wash and a few drops of nourishing hair oil to his scalp and beard.

Teyana Taylor
Image Credit: Arturo Holmes/Getty Images To kick off Teyana Taylor‘s first time at the Cécred salon, Dr. Williams used a magnifier to examine the multi-hyphenate star’s scalp and found the “Rose in Harlem” singer had a bit of dryness. To combat that, Dr. Williams used their Clarifying Shampoo and Scalp Scrub, a relaxing scalp massage, followed by their Reconstructing Treatment Mask, Restoring Hair and Edge Drops and styling products.
While waiting for the products to penetrate her hair follicles, Teyana answered rapid-fire questions and even showed off her painter skills with Tina Knowles. After a few minutes, Teyana presented her imagined design for Cécred product bottle.

Jessie Reyez
Image Credit: VIBE/ Jessica Xie Jessie Reyez graced the Cécred salon last month and received the works and a trim. Much like Teyana’s appointment, Dr. Williams used her trichoscope to examine her scalp where she discovered a few broken hair, which she compared to “broomsticks.” Following a deep cleanse, Jessie was summoned by Mama T to write the first jingle for the hair-care line.
“I know a girl from way back, she’s so beautiful/ Yeah, say that/ those curls bouce, yeah we did that/ Is she? Is she? Is she Cécred?” she sang on the fly.
