Even The Weeknd himself could not believe that the Recording Academy snubbed him.
Recall that the nominations for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were announced on Tuesday, with the likes of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion leading the categories.
Many people were surprised that The Weeknd didn’t receive any nods in the Big Four or genre categories despite the commercial and industry acclaim of his recent album, After Hours and its singles “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless,” among others.
And the singer himself took to his Twitter to share his displeasure with the snub. “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency…” he tweeted.
