Bright Chiwenotito Okechukwu Ejike. (born July 9 1997) known musically as TM Flows, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and Nurse.
Getting inspiration from his mom who writes gospel songs without recording, TM Flows started writing songs in 2013 while visiting the studio and recorded his first track titled ‘Don’t Go’ in 2015.
Early Life and education
The first of five children born to Mr Okechukwu and Rev Mrs Rosline Ejike of Ezinihite LGA Mbaise Imo State, he was raised by a single mother who is a nurse, Songwriter and clergy. He attended St Michaels Comprehensive Secondary School and Fedora Grammer School both in Aba, proceeded to College of Health Sciences Aba, Abia state where he graduated as a medical lab scientist and then Holy Rosary School of Nursing Emekuku, Owerri, Imo State graduating in 2019 as a Registered Nurse, and started practicing as a nurse immediately.
TM Flows was a member of a gospel group led by his uncle who is a multi instrumentalist, he later became a back up to his mother in worship and praise during church service, in 2013 he started visiting a studio in his home city of Aba,and waited two years later to record his first song “Don’t Go” with the stage name Flows, the song was produced by Masterkraft, and was released online on April 26 2015.
He went on to drop singles like Amiria, Keep Banging, My Baby, Adaeze, Dice, Dooh (Thank You), Romeo (Mr Nice Guy) and so on working with producers like Playboy De Calijoe and Six2boi (Mr Six). A year after graduating from nursing school, in 2020, he dropped four singles in the first quarter of the year with a new stage name TM Flows, also a 3 track EP titled Adaeze leaked online with the new name housing his old singles.
TM Flows singles of 2020 gained widespread acceptance with the first one ‘For You’ featuring indigenous rapper Yungice gaining over 1500 Views on a particular music website just 2 hours after release, his fourth single ‘Mercy’ (produced by Bravo) gained airplays in radio stations across Nigeria.
Inspiration and Influence.
In an interview seen online, TM Flows said seeing his mother’s song writing ability inspired him to being a song writer and singer. According to the interview also growing up listening to fellow Mbaise man and lead vocal of oriental brothers Late Dr Sir Warrior influenced his sound. His other musical influences are Runtown, Fuse ODG, Erriga and Frank Edwards.
TM Flows as a practicing Nurse have no intention of quiting nursing, he is happy combining both careers using a phrase “Saving Life while making you dance” to back it up.
