Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has achieved a major milestone as her cinema movie ‘Alakada Bad and Boujee’ has grossed N401 million at the box office.

The film is the fifth installment in the Alakada series and premiered in cinemas nationwide on December 20, 2024.

Taking to Instagram, she expressed gratitude to God, her fans, and supporters for making this milestone possible.

She thanked everyone who watched the movie, stating that their love and supports have given life to the project. Toyin Abraham wrote:

“I am the one who has come back to say, Thank You. Thank You, God, for this extraordinary personal career milestone, a moment that feels like heaven smiling down on me. Your grace is undeniable, and I stand in awe of Your faithfulness.

“To every single soul who has taken the time to watch Alakada Bad and Boujee, thank you from the depths of my heart. Your love and support have breathed life into this project, and I’m eternally grateful.

“To my cherished Toyin Titans, my loyal family of believers and encouragers, thank you for riding this journey with me. Your unwavering support lifts me higher every day. Together, we are unstoppable, and we keep breaking barriers!

In other news, Nigerian actress Omoni Oboli has been embroiled in social media drama over her recently-released movie on YouTube.

Shortly after its release, netizens began to point out its similarities with another movie also on the same streaming platform.

Omoni Oboli has taken to her Instagram page to address the situation, apologizing and stating why she had to take down the movie.
